Contemporary clothing and gifts handmade with Scottish textiles
Atelier Escapades was born from the desire to create beautiful items made with Scottish fabrics that tell a story.
They source their Harris tweed directly from the individual weavers and mills in the Hebrides, and their tartans from Lochcarron of Scotland in the Scottish borders, House of Edgar in the Highlands and other gorgeous wool textiles from Johnston of Elgin.

Where it all began
Behind the sewing machine, computer, camera is Mathilde.
Mathilde is originally from France, and has lived in Edinburgh since 2018. She has been sewing since 2008. Costumes, clothes, accessories, anything that would push her to explore new skills and techniques.
Scotland ❤️ France
After traveling the world, volunteering in gardens and vegetable farms in and across 3 continents in 2017, Mathilde decided to settle in wonderful Scotland. Combining her love for textile, travelling, photography, as well as her wish to promote Scottish craftsmanship, Mathilde started Atelier Escapades.View products in store
