Robert Mackie originally opened in 1845 making traditional Scottish Glengarry and Balmoral headwear, “Bonnets” and since then, they have grown to become a leading Scottish knitwear manufacturer.
Proud that their knowledge & expertise has been passed down through generations of makers, their Balmoral and Glengarry dress bonnets are still manufactured in Stewarton today and worn by clans and pipers around the world.

Robert Mackie are proud that everything they produce is “Made in Scotland”, completely manufactured in house, and continue to work in 100% pure new wool which is a natural, sustainable product.
